Weekend of preparation for Lennox Racing Team in the the third round of the Champions of the Future Euro Series
Rødby has been a very hard test for our team: in Denmark, many things simply didn’t go as planned. Our drivers for this race were Luis Castellini, Noah Wolfe, and Matias Orjuela, all involved in the OKJ category.
Matias Orjuela was certainly the driver who gave the most comforting signals, already starting from qualifying practice in which he caught 4th place overall thanks to a remarkable pace. The Colombian driver was even faster during the heats, gaining four top 3 placements out of five heats and managing to start the final race from the 8th spot thanks to another solid performance during his Super Heat. Unfortunately, some unfortunate situations and a 5 seconds penalty committed due to a bad maneuver didn’t allow him to get the final result he deserved, forcing him to cross the finish line in 26th position.
Many more difficulties for Noah Wolfe and Louis Castellini. Our two drivers, despite their remarkable effort and their positive and proactive attitude with the whole team, had some problems in finding the best setup for this race, even due to a very technical track that is always difficult to understand. After a bad qualifying practice, Wolfe gave his best during the heats managing to fight for a top 10 placement in every heat but wasn’t able to catch a placement in the final round even due to a crash during his superheat. Castellini is instead still gaining experience in top-level championships, in which none of the opponents leaves anything to chance: in any case, the Monegasque driver showed significant steps forward, especially during the heats in which found also a 14th placement, his best finish so far since joining Lennox Racing team.
Jordon Lennox-Lamb, Team Manager: “I certainly can’t say that I’m fully satisfied: we’re always very disappointed when the final result doesn’t fully reflect the great job done by drivers and the whole team. In the last few races we haven’t collected what we deserved, so now we have to get back up quickly but I’m still very calm: we know well how to get back up in difficult situations and of course, we’ll do it again even this time”.
